This calculator ranks your standing vertical jump against normative data drawn from exercise science literature and NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association) testing benchmarks, broken out by gender and age group. Your percentile tells you what share of people at your demographic profile you outjump — a 70th percentile score means you jump higher than roughly 70% of that population.
The underlying norms blend general population data with athletic population data, so the same jump height produces a different percentile depending on whether you're being compared to the general public or to trained athletes. That's why the tool also shows direct comparisons against high school, college, and pro benchmarks in the results above — a single percentile number never tells the whole story.

Vertical jump height is driven primarily by lower-body strength and rate of force development — how quickly you can express that strength. The three highest-leverage training methods are:

Plyometric training — depth jumps, box jumps, and bounding drills train your nervous system to convert strength into speed. Two focused plyometric sessions per week, paired with adequate recovery, typically produce the fastest gains.
